My grandmother came from a family of three daughters. I have always thought of them as the pianist from Washington, the soprano from Minnesota, and the dancer from Wisconsin. Their obituaries prove that they had other careers, interests, and skills, but don't imagine for a moment that they weren't tremendous artists. As products of their generation, all three women were defined as devoted mothers bound to their Christian faiths, but these women also had the strength, determination, and talent to move mountains. The world has lost a force.
