How To Make A Paper Box Cheat

What if you want to wrap an XL long sleeved t-shirt in a hurry?  Some items are too big for one of my cardstock paper boxes, but small enough that you know something must be possible.  For the solution I found, you get to add an entire H to the L of your box.  After you choose H, the length of one of your sides of cardstock will be W+2H, and the other will be L+H.  So if you start with a square piece of cardstock 30 cm in length, W = 30-2H, and L = 30-H.
Buckle up, because this goes fast.

Materials:
1.  2 pieces of cardstock of the same size
2.  A paper scoring board
3.  Scissors
4.  Adhesives and/or ribbons

Step 1:
Score H from opposite sides of one piece of cardstock.  Score H/2 from the remaining two sides.
Repeat score marks exactly for the second piece of cardstock.

Step 2:
Fold.  Cut along each of the eight folds that are H/2 in length.

Step 3:
Arrange your box halves so that they alternate.  For example, in the picture below, the green paper wraps around the left side of the box and the blue paper wraps around the right side.

Step 4:
Assemble as you wish.  Finish with adhesives and/or ribbon.
